Open and Distance Learning (ODL) is a method of learning that allows teachers and learners not necessarily be present together physically at same place or same time, thus creating flexible modalities and timing of teaching and learning yet maintaining the required necessary quality in learning. This has been given adequate recognition in the Nigerian national policy on education. People who could not continue their educational pursuit after successful completion of their secondary education are being given the opportunity to do so through the platform of the ODL. The ODL provides delivery of instructions through a variety of media (print and electronically) to learners.

The name of the centre shall be called BELLSTECH OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING CENTRE (BODLC)

The Centre: To create and provide access to qualitative Open and Distance Education for all at affordable cost.

The University: To promote the advancement of knowledge and produce graduates with well-balanced education who are eminent positive contributors to society, capable of self-actualization and employment generation.
The Centre: To promote accessibility to University education to all in the society for self- actualization of the dream of having higher education both in Nigeria and beyond through cut-edge technology.
